For standard service calls, we typically recommend booking 3–5 business days in advance, especially during busy seasons. Emergency or urgent calls may be accommodated sooner depending on availability.
For larger projects or jobs requiring permits and coordination with other trades, it’s best to reach out 2–4 weeks in advance to allow for proper scheduling and planning.
We do our best to stay flexible and responsive. If you're unsure how far out to plan, just contact us — we'll let you know our current lead times and do our best to fit you in.
For smaller projects, if you can provide a detailed scope along with clear photos or videos, we can often provide a budget estimate remotely. Please note this number may change once our technicians arrive on‑site and assess the issue in real time.
For larger jobs or projects that require an on‑site assessment, we charge a consultation fee to evaluate the situation. If you proceed with our quote, this fee is credited back on your final invoice.
For troubleshooting and repairs, we charge a standard service callout rate. We’re always upfront about costs and do everything we can to provide clarity and value from the start.
Yes. Western Summit Electric handles all necessary permits and inspections for the work we perform. We are fully licensed with Technical Safety BC and familiar with all local municipal requirements.
When a permit is required, we take care of the application process, scheduling, and coordination with inspectors. This ensures your project stays compliant with provincial and municipal codes and avoids unnecessary delays.
If you're unsure whether a permit is needed for your project, feel free to ask — we’ll walk you through the requirements and make sure everything is handled properly from start to finish.
We stand behind the quality of our work. Western Summit Electric Ltd. offers a 2‑year warranty on all labour and a 1‑year warranty on materials supplied by Western Summit Electric.
Most electrical contractors in BC only offer a 1‑year labour warranty — we go a step further to give you added peace of mind. If any issues arise due to our workmanship or the materials we’ve provided, we’ll make it right — no added cost, no hassle.
Please note: we’re unable to warranty customer‑supplied materials, as we can’t guarantee their quality or performance.
